(NEWSER) – Sarah Palin made a front-row appearance in support of daughter Bristol on Dancing With the Stars last night, but it seems some members of the audience weren't too pleased to see her. Just before she appeared on camera, as Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough were discussing their dance, boos could be heard from the other side of the hall, Mediaite notes.
The boos were hushed before the former governor appeared on camera. "It's amazing," Palin said when asked what she thought of her daughter's dancing. "It's great to see all this courage, joy, and exuberance." Bristol and partner Mark Ballas scored 22 out of 30 points for their quickstep, while Grey and Hough were the evening's top scorers with 24 out of 30. Michael Bolton and partner Chelsie Hightower scored just 12 for what judge Bruno Toniolo labeled "the worst jive in 11 seasons."
