No reasoning is substance, in fact often more so than the data. Data doesn't tell us anything (other than the specific data point itself) without the reasoning.

If my reasoning is false its up to those who claim I'm wrong to show how its false.

And again the specific point raised where not one's where the data is really important.

When the point is that we can't have the data, asking for data is just silly.

If you think the data (combined with some solid reasoning) shows any of my points to be wrong, than show how this is so. If there is a specific point where you don't accept my factual claims where data could be provided (which were few in that post, perhaps just that the Earth's resources are tiny compared to the resources outside of the Earth, even just in our own solar system), than ask questions. For that specific point the data is so overwhelmingly behind my point that not accepting the point, because I don't provide specific data, is like arguing that a claim that more wealth is generated in the US than in Tuvalu is dubious because no details are provided.

Really what point are you challenging? I'm not going to research data for every statement I make, esp. when the overall reality of the situation is so obvious, but if you have an occasional specific question, I might answer it.
