Mattie,
I concur with your views. Other than VCAI ONLY meeting the street's estimates, I see no reason for the 2pt drop in shareprice..market weakness aside.
As for the short term, anything goes...we've all seen quality stocks tank most recently..VCAI is no exception. Percentagewise, the drop was nothing more than a temporary shake out of weak hands to strong hands, IMO.
Bob Antin, chairman and chief executive officer of Veterinary Centers of America, stated: ''The addition of these hospitals clearly illustrates our commitment and renewed focus on aggressively expanding our nationwide network of owned and managed animal hospitals. We have added a total of 12 hospitals since the start of 1997. Combined, the hospitals had annual revenues in 1996 of over $15 million. We now operate 160 hospitals in 26 states.
I think that about sums up the future of VCAI. I'm highly ecstatic about owning this stock. The dip on low volume means nothing. If I were more liquid I'd actually consider averaging down around $13/sh, if/when the opportunity presents itself....stranger things have happened.
Regards,
Steve |
