Troy: S3 is still a great company; unfortunately, the market continues to discount it for slow earnings or eroding prices in the 2D/3D/ multimedia chip market, or whatever else they can think of. However, the market will get it right eventually because the 3rd and 4th quarters are the best of the year for S3. S3's nearest competitor is Trident and they are beating them handily- S3's net income rose by 11% last quarter yet Trident's fell 44%. I bought the stock at 12.875 and I too have watched it crater to 9.75 but just ask yourself the following: HAVE THE FUNDAMENTALS CHANGED? If your answer is no why would you sell it? If you sell it and the fundamentals have not changed and you don't need the cashand the market does not seem pricy to you then the decision to sell is illogical. I think the fundamentals are strong and the outlook is very bright--any company with close relations to Intel and Microsoft is in good shape if you ask me. I could be completely wrong, but I see no reason why the stock should not hit $20 in 6-12 months (barring another swoon in the NASDAQ). I hope I am right and hang tough.
