Sam,

1. Sorry to hear you're on the sidelines (re chip equipment stocks). first Bill H, now you, soon we'll have a self fulfilling prophesy. :-)

2. Kurlak's outlook: I don't believe his conclusions are supported by an examination of the available data. For example, some companies continued to grow during the last chip downturn (automation); others did not see losses and very few traded below book. This last downturn was less severe, less prolonged and had less impact on stock prices than previous cyclical downturns. So far, at least. [what is the emoticon for "praying" anyway? ;-) )
