That statement if yours is beyond perverse

What's perverse is buying a shiny yellow metal that consumes valuable energy resources, and scars the land, merely so people can make jewelry out of it, or call a "collectible coin".

I would rather own the comparable value in Natural Gas, Oil, or Uranium.

If we're going to tear up the environment, I would rather it be for the purpose of obtaining a substance that we actually consume, not just store away behind lock and key.

I guess it's all just a matter of perspective. But I believe my opinion is just as valid as that of the goldbug crowd.
