The real problem is to be able to get people to support a vision or action plan.

Isn't that the role of a leader? A vision he has deep in his gut that he can convince the people to follow. As to a list;

1)End the wars spend that money here in America. I think you could sell that to most people.

2)Bring down medical cost - all the rest in health care is meaningless if we bankrupt our country trying to pay for a health care that leaves us uncompetitive in the world economy. I think you could sell that to most people.

3) A stimulus program targeted to providing jobs here in America - instead of China or France. Jobs for working men at maybe 35K a year instead of jobs at 90K with the purpose of just getting Krugman bucks into the economy. Jobs that build something we can see and that makes America stronger and more efficient. I think you could sell this to most people - in the Center.

There are more and I could go on, but the person who has to come up with the vision is our leader.
