We are talking past one another again, Steve. I'm talking about the part of Friedman's argument that says we are headed to a third party of "centrists." He does so based on his version of sets of solutions to pressing problems. You are arguing that his version of that list is a good one.

I'm not entering that argument, or at least I didn't in my post. I'm entering a second argument of Friedman's which says or assumes there is a possible third party centrist movement available in American politics right now. My argument is that position simply misunderstands the present dynamics.
