Yeah. Except the average has been going up slower than the median.

"Measured from before the start of the recession the median went up."

And the average was flat to slightly up.

"And that's median household income, which 1 - Doesn't include all forms of income"

It captures most of the income that is important to the poor to middle class. Not so much for the upper end.
