The dangers of Priapism (24 hr erection)are well known and the use of these drugs for ED is contraindicated in men at risk. (The largest population at risk is black men with sickle cell anemia) Priapism is not a simple erection but usually comes from a blood clot blocking the release of blood from the corpora. You don't want to know the treatment. One of our urologist may expound on that. As far as duration of action, in the published study from England, the average time of erection for the 50mg dose (proposed) for Viagra was 11 minutes, compared to about an hour for MUSE, and some times several hours for Caverject. Known as the "Goldilocks" effect, ie., "this ones too hard", "this ones too soft....... " <gg> Time to buy more VVUS, all this publicity is not really pointing out that Viagra is not now available. Of course, we need increased production of the MUSE to really take advantage of the increased market that is on the way. Zebra
