Funny no one cared about the border when we had our 'ownership society' and the former president spoke of needing all these Mexicans to come here and do job's American's don't want to do. Of course that boosted the economy bigtime in 2002-06 when we didn't have enough workers to build all those houses we really didn't need. Now the illegal population is slowly going down from the peak several years ago and the numbers who cross illegally is down substantially as well since we've continued building the fence, there are fewer jobs and we've tripled the number of border patrol agents.. Rogue Mexican border patrol agents making big bucks trafficking for the cartel were a huge problem for years...
