Hi Neil, Re: Flunking Retirement.....................

I've known a few people that never did make the grade. It's really a sad sight. Having had too many hobbies my whole life, it never occurred to me that I might have a problem when I retired.

In 1986 I left active employment to manage my own investments. One of the first conditions of this new situation I had to address was my wife's feeling that I was invading her space. She went out and found an office for me and told me to go rent it. I asked, "Why?"

She said, "The rent will be far cheaper than alimony!"

:-)

Well, after 22 years, I actually went back to work when I partnered with some acquaintances in August of 2008.

......and then he lived happily ever after.......

Best regards, Tom
