Nine Months' Income Increases 237%
TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1997--EduSoft Ltd. (NASDAQ/NMS: EDUSF - news) today reported record earnings for the
third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 1997.
Net income for the third 1997 quarter reached a record $1,051,000, or $0.22 per share, up 54% from $684,000, or $0.14 per share, in the third
quarter of 1996. Net income in the first nine months of 1997 amounted to a record $2,519,000, or $0.52 per share, an increase of 237% over
$748,000, or $0.15 per share, in the first nine months of 1996.
Sales in the third quarter of 1997 rose 19% to $3,445,000 from $2,902,000 in the third quarter of 1996. For the nine months, sales increased 46%
to a record $9,788,000 from $6,720,000 in the comparable 1996 period.
Gross profit for the third 1997 quarter increased 24% to a record $2,846,000, 83% of sales, from $2,303,000, or 79% of revenues, in the same
1996 quarter. Gross profit for the first nine months of 1997 increased 66% to a record $7,875,000, 80% of revenues, from $4,744,000, 71% of
revenues, in the same 1996 period. |
