LaserAlly(TM) Handheld LIDAR Speed Enforcement System and New Thermal Ally Imaging Camera to Be Featured at Conference

OVERLAND PARK, KS--(Marketwire - 10/05/10) - Digital Ally, Inc. (NASDAQ:DGLY - News), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial security applications, today announced that the Company will feature its new LaserAlly handheld LIDAR Speed Detection System and will unveil its new Thermal Ally Imaging Camera at the 117th Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference (Booth #1035) in Orlando, October 23-27, 2010.

Thermal Ally is a small, versatile, lightweight thermal imaging camera that allows officers to see variations in temperature. When viewed through a thermal imaging camera, warm objects stand out well against cooler backgrounds; humans and other warm-blooded animals become easily visible against the environment, day or night. Qualified users of thermal imaging cameras are able to see things they would not have seen with the naked eye. This allows them to identify the location of criminal suspects or fugitives, for example, while at the same time protecting law enforcement officers from being exposed to danger, day or night, regardless of the weather.

"The thermal imaging market, which is estimated at $6.6 billion annually worldwide, targets such users as border security agencies, state and local police and fire departments, commercial and industrial security companies, maritime agencies, and military departments," commented Stanton E. Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Ally, Inc. "The Thermal Ally is smaller, lighter and will have a retail price that is considerably less than competitive systems available in the marketplace. With our strong customer base and experienced sales force, we should be able to gain traction in the market."

"Thermal Ally is the ideal tool to assist in routine patrols, criminal searches, identifying disturbed surfaces or hidden compartments, locating evidence, accident investigations, search and rescue efforts, and much more," continued Ross. "When used in total darkness, Thermal Ally increases officers' vision, safety and effectiveness, and allows them to work undetected. The system features a focus-free lens for fast target acquisition, center-point temperature display and multiple color palettes for accurate identification of targets and evidence."

"I am also pleased to report that Digital Ally began shipping the new LaserAlly LIDAR systems to customers during the month of September," continued Ross. "Also, strong international interest in the LaserAlly speed detection product encouraged us to develop a Spanish version of the system, and we will be addressing other international market opportunities with language adaptations in the future."

The Company also announced that on Monday, October 25, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., legendary Hall of Fame heavyweight champion Smokin' Joe Frazier will be at Digital Ally's IACP booth, signing autographs and greeting visitors. An Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Joe Frazier achieved an impressive 32 wins (including 27 knock-outs) in his professional career. In perhaps his most famous fight, he dealt Muhammad Ali his first professional loss in the "The Fight of the Century" at Madison Square Garden in 1971. This year marks the 35th Anniversary of their rematch, known as the "Thrilla in Manila."

In addition to the new Thermal Ally Imaging Camera and LaserAlly LIDAR Speed Gun, Digital Ally will display its full line of law enforcement products at IACP Booth #1035, including the Company's flagship DVM Series of In-Car Video Systems; the FirstVu Evidentiary Wearable/Mountable Video System; the DV-500Ultra All-Weather Video System for motorcycles, boats and more; the DVF-500 Digital Video Flashlight; and such new features as "Wireless N" capabilities.
