DRILLING COMMENCES ON THE SARAH LAKE PROPERTY SOUTH
VOISEY'S BAY PROJECT

VANCOUVER, Nov. 10 /CNW/ - Major General Resources Ltd.
Vancouver Stock Exchange: MGJ
Shares Issued: 33,198,119
Teck-Donner have re-commenced drilling on Major General's Sarah Lake
nickel property in Labrador. Drilling is underway which will test the eastern
gravity extension of the ''Northern Abitibi Nickel Zone''. The current drill
hole is situated approximately one kilometre northeast of the discovery hole
(97-67) which intersected significant Voisey's Bay-style nickel
mineralization.
Drilling is targeted to test the centre of an extensive gravity anomaly
which trends east-west across the Northern Abitibi-Major General claim
boundary (see map in news release 97-29). Gravity anomalies in this area
appear to be related to thicker sequences of gabbro and troctolite, which is
the ideal setting for Voisey's Bay type nickel deposits.
A recent news release by Donner indicated that the favourable troctolite
was thickening to the northeast, towards Major General's property.
Results of the drilling will be released when made available by Donner
Minerals Ltd.
