You know what's interesting. Tancredo is running for the governorship of CO on the Conservative party ticket. Maes is the GOP candidate. I can't forget how the GOP ended up with Maes on the ticket but the history is real convoluted. I think Maes beat Tancredo.

In any case the CO GOP was split over his winning the primary. Then all this weird stuff started hitting the fan.....Maes claimed he was in on some FBI or CIA sting operation and then he was told to back off. As it turned out, most of it wasn't true. Well then Tancredo, a hot head, decided he still wanted to run for governor. First he tried to get Maes to quit; when that didn't work, he got on the Conservative Party ticket. Well Tancredo is beating out Maes in the polls.

And as it turns out, if Maes gets 10% or less of the vote in the election, the GOP will become a minority party in CO which means it will face restrictions on its operations going forward. And if you think that couldn't happen, Maes is only polling 15% in the latest poll. Interesting, huh?
