OSO I missed the whole TIC tone of that previous calculation of yours! I guess I've been staying up late far too often. Saw the "Doable but" and went "no way!". Anyway...

Tech stocks up on Monday? Was just wondering whether the annual Barrons issue on the Tech Roundtable would convince the naysayers. Guess not. Kind of dull these days in the Ole Market isn't it? Did you buy my previous post logic that LSI has purchased 500,000 at around 22 or so? That's about 11,000,000 spent so far. They have 60 times that in cash in the bank. We'll never see much of that! San Jose Mercury News article also reported how the West Coast companies manage their finances conservatively considering how volatile their (markets and) stock prices are. Interesting dichotomy but makes sense I guess. (If you are a company with let's say a billion in cash flow year in and year out recessions or up-turns you may as well go right ahead and go the invest-in-stocks, venture-capital, derivatives etc etc etc. Conversely if you're cash flow is uncertain may as well keep some for a rainy day and invest the rest in money market funds. Hurts shareholders but oh well. Rather this that see a company go bankrupt for lack of cash.)
