A.N. Whitehead was, of course, a formidable thinker, despite the fact that he never caught up with Goedel's Theorem (which, by the way, has some marginal relevance to IPM and the possibilities of new thinking). Do you quote Whitehead here, sans marks, or is the statement an original (and, therefore, with a faulty referent) and you only cite his name to impress. You are a well-educated man, schooled (I presume, at least in your early years) in the pre-war British tradition; this makes me wonder why and how you have strayed.
