There seems to be a rock hard ideological commitment to anything that's not rpt NOT petroleum based. Even if it will take a decade or more to develop economic alternatives to petroleum. (And ethanol is not one of those viable alternatives, unless you're only interested in a populist gesture to the corn belt.) This administration seems to be rigid in its preconceptions. They are not the pragmatists I thought I was voting for. But the other side of the aisle? Reminds me of the situation of the Catholic who told a Protestant friend that he was quitting the Church. "To become a Protestant?" "I've lost my faith. I haven't lost my mind."
