David: Lets look at some facts 1. They can not be bought except by GLW.Its in their license. 2. They have 2X added capacity coming on line with as far as I know no firm backlog. 3.They have diluted shares due to the secondary 4.Their profit margin has decreased due to a price squeez for fiber 5.General Fiber is not doing too well. 6. Brazil and the Asian markets are in trouble.SPTR had customers there. 7. They projected increased profits for every quarter of 1997 and they could not deliver .Why? Lame excuse of over-runs at the Specialty division,where they bought a building. I could go on but let me ask why they didn't explain Moore's departure or their recent talks with GLW
