Finally saw the movie version this last week. They actually did a great job with it. It'll leave you has hopeless and despondent as the book. <ng>

McCarthy's such a fantastic writer, though, I'd reco reading it if a person has any choice. Plus, the narrative has so many unexpected turns that if you see or read one version, most of the suspense will be lost when you check out the other.
