I hung out at a little party this weekend. Lots of bright people. I never bring up the market, but rather wait for someone else to do so. And they did. First thing out of the mouth of NOT a perma-bear was, "do we crash next week or after the election".

Naturally I was curious as hell and after a few questions I learned that much of this opinion was based on a paid investment service "alert".

Something tells me that the Euro is about to have some trouble and I would not be surprised if Trichet is behind it. All it would take is a passive response from the ECB to the next problem and we could see the Euro tank pretty quick.

Then again, WHO KNOWS. Unless you get Bennie's secret "front running" memos, you are just guessing. Like me.
