TR, I'm sure you saw the Steve Kroft piece on 60 minutes. How did we ever get by with a market that was not managed every day by an interventionist Fed? Without the Fed, our market would be 25-30% lower. Maybe even lower. What surprises me is the sheer number of idiots cheering for QE. In our HFT world, apparently only the next step counts, even if that step brings you to the edge of the cliff and you are on a one-way road. It's just insane. I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how QE creates jobs and real economic growth. And also why it will work this time when it did not work the first time. I'm waiting. I've noticed the Fed offers NOTHING on these two questions, but that is because they do know the answers. GT TH
