Anyone else checkout the online store? I think it was very well done. Looks like I'll be buying my next Mac from there.

The success of the G3 line is vital to Apple's recovery. If this product line does well and it is reflected on the earning it'll undo a lot of the damage done to Apple's image in the last couple years.

I'm still looking for the rumored "product based" ad campaign. It important for Apple to make it known that it currently makes the worlds fastest Desktop, Laptop, and Palmtop computer.

My fears...
1.The rumored G3 floating-point bug still have not been confirmed. It's probably nothing.

2.Apple is betting so much on the G3 for this quarter's profitablility and yet we don't know if Apple can produce these new machines in high volume. The G3 lines (powerbook and desktop) incorporate a new processor AND new motherboard designs. This means that Apple is more likely to encounter parts shortages, whether it is the PPC 750 itself or other chipsets on the motherboard. There may also be design bugs AND production method problems to be worked out. Only if Apple can avoid all of these pitfalls can it deliver the quantity of Macs it needs to make 98 Q1 profitable. In the past Apple almost always had production problems. Let's hope the new Apple can do better.

3. This is my biggest fear. If there are major bugs or quality problems with the G3 line that aren't discovered until these machines start to reach consumers' hands, it would be extremely costly to Apple both in repair cost as well as in consumer confidence. We really don't
need another PB5300 blunder at this time.
