Thean, I also observed the same happening. As for possible gulf war, I dont believe the market will react like last time - last time we were in a 3 month stretch of bear market starting sep/oct 1990 and market was down 20% when the war finally erupted. Market was on a depressed, undervalued situation. Currently, even with the decline, we are nowhere near fairvalued, let alone undervalued. I believe smart money are leaving the market to the sideline for the time being, hence volumes so low.
