From your bio sounds like you know your stuff. As a prospector I spend alot of my time looking for gold in Archean greenstone belts.
Got a question for you regarding coarse gold assays. Sampled an old muck pile. Wall rock average 0.271oz/ton -150 mesh 0.274oz/ton +150 mesh 0.248oz/ton
then a sample of mineralized quartz same pile average 0.902oz/ton -150mesh 0.459oz/ton +150 mesh 2.026oz/ton
What would you conclude from this. My quess in first sample gold tied in with sulfides while in second sample free gold in quartz plus gold in sulfides.
have been trying to find some info on just what these type of coarse gold assays mean, everyone says they are more accurate but no one seems to give a good explanation of the variables.
