>>>No; If "ALL" birds have feathers, then either the featherless thing in the oven is not a bird or "ALL" birds do not in fact have feathers.
That's pretty basic and I'm surprised that you don't recognize that and would repeat such a weak example.
I've clarified the importance of context and the limitations of language for you so I'm not sure why you think it benefits you to quibble over such things. It tends to destroy your credibility with regards to having any sincerity with your positions. But I suppose you see some benefit anyway. Other than not giving people a chance to take you serious, I just can't imagine what that would be.
The definition of what distinguishes a living organism as a bird includes feathers. The definition of the chicken in my oven is that it is a bird without feathers, being roasted. You didn't just arrive from another planet, so how you could conclude that the chicken in the oven is not a bird, or that all birds in fact do not have feathers is ridiculous quibbling. The first is a matter of scientific taxonomy, the latter is a practical observation both are factual and true. The context is different in each situation but both are birds considered in proper context. If I sliced a cell from the chicken in the oven and put it on a slide any micro-biologist would identify it as a cell that came from a bird. Once again, the context of a statement is important.
"You seem to be reading your own issues into the text that are not actually there."
No I'm not.
"Nowhere in the article does he conclude that: "you have an obligation to attack others based on his presumption of being right."
Yes he did and I've already demonstrated that fact. His premise is based on the 'Jesus is God' statement and his position on that is transparent. He infused several comments that leave room for plausible deniability but they don't match the context and drift of his general delivery.
