You did alright with KLIC. Good for you.
This is how I think. QNTM bloomed later than SEG and WDC and will get hammered later than SEG and WDC. First to get hit was SEG. Second to get hit was WDC. Next one to get hit is QNTM. QNTM cannot escape cut throat pricing at the desktop end. It has approximately 65% exposure. Either it has to abandon the market completely or cut cost to protect its market share. And I would not be surprised if IBM and SEG start cutting price on high end to increase their profit margin since they will not be making any money on desk top disk for awhile. This is very similar to DRAM and SRAM situation, over capacity. Having a niche of DLT will prevent it going back to $12(exactly one year ago price) but it will be much lower than what it is now. There may be a bounce but it will go down from here. What is your thought on KMAG? Held okay today. I am still long on KLIC and TER and short on CPQ and DELL. This is first time I am trading on QNTM though. Let me know if I need to cover soon.
