Depends on what they are looking for. Like Sarasota best if you don't want the big city but it is still pricey. Best deals waterfront to the south in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda then Ft Myers/Cape Coral. On the east cost Melborune up through Cocoa Beach has lots of waterfront and a wide intracoastal but prices are somewhat higher. Volusia county, Daytona area if they are bikers or into Nascar has a sleeper town Ormond by the Sea, older 2/1 ranch homes on a barrier island walk to the beach for around $100k or less.. Vero Beach area is perfect if you want really quiet and charming where things close down by 8pm.

SE Fla still very pricey not much waterfront property and very urban... St/Pete/Clearwater much less in price than SE Fla has much more waterfront and you are near all the Tampa Bay area and all big city conveniences offer. Really outside of SE Florida and Naples the southern half of the state has incredible wide bays and intracoastal waterways...
