We find the peripatetic, hyperkinetic Mr. Charters a source of constant hilarity. We shall have the last laugh, however, and it will be the sort of laugh that comes from seeing ones chequeing account with a large balance. Allow Mr. Charters his fevered hallucinations; yes, the world even needs madmen such as he, if only for the comic relief they provide.
