FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Canadian Dealing Network: VRTK

Virtek Announces Orders in Excess of $2 million following Recent B.C.M.C.
Trade Show

WATERLOO, Ontario, November 10, 1997 - CDN - VRTK Virtek Vision
International Inc., a leading supplier of laser projection technology, today
announced it has received orders in excess of $2,000,000 from the Building
Components and Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) in Nashville, Tennessee, held
in mid October.

"The impressive flow of orders is dramatic evidence of the acceptance of
Virtek's TrussLineT product for the manufacturing of prefabricated wood roof
trusses," said Cec Archibald, VP of Virtek's Prefabricated Construction
Industry (PCI) division. "The combined marketing efforts of MiTek
Industries and Virtek Vision are beginning to illustrate the enormous
opportunity for Virtek in this global market." MiTek Industries Inc., of
St. Louis, Missouri, a subsidiary of Rexam, PLC, is the world's largest
manufacturer of connector plates and equipment for the wood roof truss
industry and is the exclusive distributor of Virtek's TrussLineT systems
worldwide.

Among the many truss companies purchasing Virtek's TrusslineT systems at the
international trade show, Boozer Lumber of South Carolina placed an order
for 7 systems worth approximately $800,000. "Virtek's system has so
significantly reduced set up times at Boozer Lumber that it is becoming the
manufacturing industry standard for the production of wood roof trusses,"
added Archibald.

The BCMC is one of several trade shows Virtek has included in its itinerary
this year. Recently, Virtek attended it's first Metalcon show in Atlanta,
Georgia which promotes the use of steel materials for roof trusses and wall
panels in residential and commercial construction. In November Virtek will
participate in "Showcase 97" and display Virtek designed products available
to the wall and floor component manufacturers and manufactured homes producers.

"We are extremely excited about the future of this technology and our
association with Virtek Vision", stated Tom Manenti, Senior Vice President
MiTek Industries. "The wood roof truss industry is only one of several
opportunities that currently exists for Virtek's systems within the
Prefabricated Construction Industry."

Virtek Vision International Inc., through its wholly-owned subsidiaries,
Virtek Vision Corp. in Canada and Virtek Vision Inc. in the United States,
is a leading supplier of 3D laser projection systems. Virtek is based in
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, with offices near Boston, Massachusetts, London,
England and Munich, Germany. Virtek currently trades on the Canadian
Dealing Network and has approximately 14.4 million shares outstanding.
