I've been interested in the option discussion back and forth on this thread. I've been very interested in doing some covered calls instead of the trading I've been doing to deal with runs in stocks like ATPG.

That being said, a couple of questions to anyone:

1) I'm on Tdameritrade. Given the commissions and bid/ask spread, how many contracts do you feel makes it worth the commissions? For example, doing a covered call on a 100 shares doesn't seem reasonable, maybe a 1000?

2) Is there a general return per month/quarter/year you're expecting with this strategy?

Thanks,

cwillyg
