I think the significant move into the stocks will be in the third phase. Case in point...my neighbor has been thinking about buying silver for years. He had lots of opportunities but never pulled the trigger. While he finally did back in July, he bought a little bit. Then he said "I hope the price stays here because I want to get more". I said I wasn't so sure the market would accommodate his personal agenda.* So when I saw him recently he was asking me about gold stocks because I think he feels like he missed the bullion train. Another anecdote...my teenage daughter's friend said to her the other day "Your dad must be making bank." My daughter asked why. Her friend said "Because he has all that gold and silver stuff and everyone else put their money in bogus stuff that isn't doing anything." If teenagers are starting to take notice then I think we are getting closer. * - edit: we got Chinese food the other night and one of the fortunes said "It is what you haven't done that will torment you." I figured it was meant for my neighbor but I didn't have the heart to give it to him. <g>
