Unless of course the shares are issuing the early warning that they are not going to confirm higher prices, because they aren't forthcoming?

in the past, shares signaled the moves in bullion,
perhaps ETF's have clouded that picture,
and perhaps not.

I am now bearish the SP500 as it looks like a rising wedge pattern, they generally fail
