"Are you going to sell calls as the stock rebounds ? That can be tricky..."

My preferred approach to a position that went bad - assuming I believe in the company - is simply to roll the position forward - usually at a credit. So - say you are short a Nov 15 put and you do not want to get put - you can enter a spread order - buy to close and sell to open - open a position in the out months.

For instance, I have been short Cameco $28 puts for a long time. I simply rolled them forward - and now - voila - Cameco is north of $28.
