INTC is the acknowledged leader in chip fabrication technology, but they have no presence in the next generation platform, the wireless, mobile smart phone/tablet.

Yes INTC was able to gain share in graphic chips, but that was on the platform they own and have owned for decades.

TSMC and Samsung provide very strong advanced technology competition. When the next generation platform begins to take serious market share from PCs, INTC will either be in the new platform or they will not be able to fund Moore's Law for a PC platform with a declining market.
