Hi alpine - your list of things looks like a wish list from a Russian or European viewpoint. It seems to envision a 'tame' or at least 'non-disruptive' US that would not be a major factor in the world. This would be a US that does not create and export political and cultural ideas (note the no more 'beacon on a hill') like women's rights, gay rights, near unlimited free speech, rock music and rap / hip hop music. Some of the recent exports - gay rights, rock music, and rap music - have really annoyed people around the world. I think this would also mean giving up the smug tone of moral superiority that many Americans have....
