re Madharry - yes CNCBC hypocrisy did not escape me. When a CEO makes "business decisions" it's OK or even admirable even when it hurts other stakeholders. When homeowners do so, they apply moral arguments.

As far as walking away, I agree with you. In my opinion, every underwater mortgage is a subprime mortgage regardless of the credit rating of the borrower since he has the "Walkaway option". That's the legal framework of secured non-recourse loans.
