Yup. A bunch of good ole boys went down to the fire station and had a tumble. These "Good Ole Boys" were the same as the "liberals" you referred to? They were "liberal" "good ole boys"? The REAL story here is "This is what happens when you rely on the f*cking government for anything. It may happen, it may not; and given ANY out, the government will fail to execute". We live across the street from our local volunteer fire department and pay $50/year for the service. If we didn't pay our fee, our fire would be put out. I know, because those guys LOVE a good fire. They would drive 50 miles to put out someone's fire. They love their work. They all have sirens and lights on their personal trucks and they're painted red and ready to go. Don't rely on government to take care of you. Of course, we need for fire departments to behave responsibly, but when you have bureaucrats making decisions they're going to screw up at a much higher pace than ordinary people. I love our volunteer fire department. They host great parties for the neighborhood a few times a year, they work their asses off, and we pay next to nothing for it.
