When I look out my window right now I see only pollution from fossil fuels.

where the heck do you live? It sounds like you live between a freeway and a power plant. Hell, even with most power plants the "smoke" you see going up the stack is just H2O and CO2. I live in Los Angeles and I rarely see pollution from fossil fuels (yes, the people who live east of los angeles get quite a bit).

Are you under the impression that the aerosols from burning fossil fuels are continuously accumulating such that we've got more and more pollution being distributed throughout our atmosphere?

Or are you just saying that for effect?

A lot of us her act as though oil "will last forever". In the 1940's we were the exporter to the world
You do know that we have basically legislated a shortage of domestic oil, right?
