I live in Los Angeles and I rarely see pollution from fossil fuels (yes, the people who live east of los angeles get quite a bit).

Respectively... are you going blind?? When I drop down the "grapevine" I'm seeing a "bowel of dark crap" before I descend into hell.

Do you ever drive north of town and see the perspective? A good friend of mine lives in the hills north of Duarte about 1800 feet above the valley floor. His view is impressive looking out above most of the pollution in the atmosphere. He keeps his 231 Mooney at the El Monte airport and we go flying often.

The pollution is impressive from just a few thousand feet in the air.

Fortunately it's not so bad here in the Seattle area. But it's getting worse with ever more cars here.
