Here's a link for ya. islandcam.com A live web cam looking towards Stuart Island (the distant bump just right of center in the distance through the gap between the islands). Roche Harbor is the most famous private marina in the Northwest. It used to be the "largest lime kiln west of the Mississippi River" in the late 1800's. It closed in about 1957 and a few years later became a very popular marine destination in the San Juan Islands on San Juan island. The camera is mounted on Hotel De Haro which Teddy Roosevelt stayed in in 1903. They have kept the hotel all original from it's late 1800's days. Next time I'm up there entertaining friends for dinner and cocktails I'll let you know. I can be on the dock waving so you can see us! I need to use my Droid X and get my moneys worth out of it! There are only four islands served by the Washington State Ferry system out of roughly 165 total islands in the area. The resort: rocheharbor.com
