As you first and wisely said long ago, expectations were/are the fly in the ointment. I had high expectations of Obama. Just him, not so much the Democratic legislature about whom I really had no opinion. My expectations weren't met, so I'm basically one of the so-called independants who have shifted away in disappointment. Could be my expectations were unreasonable or too high. Going forward I don't see myself voting easily for him again. I don't know what he stands for, and I mean that...seriously. So I don't know what I'd be voting for.
