Unless you have a very extensive and expensive system, that would take a long time, esp. if your also using other items. In many cases by the time you charge it up (assuming your starting from near zero charge, and only using the PV system, which is a fair assumption, as your already assuming the power is out, and if you assume a full charge then you could also assume a full tank of gas), the power would be back on.

You really don't seem to understand how an "off the grid" system works. Have you ever worked with one?
