Please, please.... Have your fun little Real Estate chat elsewhere! You are both correct. San Jose prices are currently justifiable, if you try hard and there was rampant Real Estate speculation in Texas. Next week the reverse could be equally true. There is clearly nothing special about either place that prevents a reverse in their respective fortunes. This is an investing board. The #1 thing to remember about ANY investment is how liquid it is. Right now there are buyers for just about any cheesy property in San Jose, not that yours necessarily was. That may not always be true. The exact same house in Southern California would be a problem to move. Frankly, the stock market is a better bet. Many more buyers, sellers and trades per day going on. Kill the Real Estate chatter and let's talk BORL!
