New fiber technologies? They must mean "new to them." Unless they are deploying a WDM-PON (which is actually an old technology, it just hasn't progressed much beyond trials) I'm hard pressed to think what they mean by "new fiber technologies." Any insights?

If they are referring to the civil work, recall their trenching video from a while back, where even that was a brute force trenching competition, as opposed to say a blown microconduit approach (which also is an "old" technology, but again hasn't been implemented all that much.
