Stephen, telecom socks have trended higher for the last week as this group has had a higher relative strength lately. Todays volume was a result of short covering and buying by some who beleive the stock is cheap in light of the MCI/WCOM deal. I wouldn't get all excited just yet, we have to see if there is anything more stupid management can dream up to save their jobs. These folks now will have to prove they actually work for the shareholders. So far they have demonstrated they regard the shareholders as imaterial.
