Jeez, I found this thread when I was thinking my house was WAY overvalued and I should sell it for many times it's (unpaid) mortgage value. I ended up selling out for 5X it's mortgage value, with all the profit tax free. I was about a year early from the peak, but this thread tends to be that way. Better to be a little early than miss the boat. Anyone in my situation could have done what I did. Jim McMannis seems to think it's "unfair"! I just played the hand dealt me.
