Why not ask them. We used to talk about different places all over the country to travel to and to move to or invest in, interesting real estate ideas after the crash, affordable places that never went up even during the bubble. Shorting the homebuilders was big.. Many techies from SV spiced it up as did some anti politicians and anti Wall Street sentiment that was just blended in with everything els. It was a great crowd, enjoyed coming hear for years and it was a nice place to bounce things off of people from all over as we awaited the inevitable crash... but most are gone or changed...

A couple of months ago, I posted a video clip that showed some of the improvements going on in Detroit........a precursor to the recent article I posted to you. One of the people on this thread from Detroit jumped all over it, condemning it as pretty much a joke. Its kind of sad when all hope is gone and there is no vision left. At the same time, that guy Cooley in the article is laughing all the way to the bank.

In any case, what Cooley is doing is the way a little guy can make big money....no stodgy corp would go near Detroit. It takes a guy with some smarts and a vision who has little to lose like Cooley. And something tells me he will pull it off........he seems to have good instincts and the right attitude.

Unfortunately, its mostly limited to the banks right now. I hope that it will expand to other stocks as well.
