I haven't seen any polls, but it is possible. you remember whosit was elected as a Dem and swtiched. A large part of the area was unionist southerners in the Civil War. There is too little talk of the number of unionists in the south at that time, or the number that fought for the union, but the memory of it is here.

And it has Huntsville, which is if not still #1, one of the top cities in the country for engineers to work. It has people from all over the country and world. And it is working to go green. By and large the people aren't liberal by any Seattle standard, but the conservative thing of the Repubs has little to nothing to offer them.

It just depends. sadly, if enough of those high-tech people there making good money care more about not having a dollar taken out of their paychecks, they might flip to Republican this election. It is one to watch.

Raby is, at least, a first rate candidate.
